The rules for using PluginLab, in plain language. By creating an account or paying for a plan, you accept them.

Who we are

The PluginLab service (pluginlab.app) is sold by PluginLab. You can reach us at contact@pluginlab.app.

What PluginLab does

PluginLab finds After Effects and Premiere Pro plugin ideas that people are really asking for, gives each idea a score out of 100, and writes a detailed prompt to build it.

With PluginLab Builder, a program you install on your computer, one click on “Build this plugin” is enough: your own Claude Code writes the plugin on your computer, then PluginLab Builder installs it and opens it in your software, once you approve each step. You can also copy the prompt and use it yourself.

Ideas and scores are estimates based on public signals (forums, Reddit, aescripts, YouTube). They are not a promise of sales or income.

What you need

  • a Claude plan that includes Claude Code (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise), or an Anthropic API key;
  • After Effects or Premiere Pro, with your own Adobe account;
  • a Windows or Mac computer (Mac: beta).

Please check this before you pay: without them, PluginLab Builder cannot build your plugins.

Your own Claude and Adobe accounts

Plugins are built by Claude Code, a product of Anthropic, running on your computer with your own Claude account or API key. Anthropic bills that usage to you, under your own plan or API key. PluginLab does not sell or include Claude usage, and never sees your Claude login details.

After Effects and Premiere Pro are Adobe products that you get and pay for yourself, directly from Adobe.

Your use of Claude, Claude Code and Adobe software is governed by those providers' own terms (anthropic.com/legal, adobe.com/legal). You are responsible for following them.

PluginLab is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, Adobe or aescripts + aeplugins.

Plans and payment

There are two plans: Monthly, at $99 per month, and Annual, at $499 per year. Prices are in US dollars. There is no free trial.

You pay in advance for each period. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, until you cancel it.

Payments are handled by Stripe. PluginLab never sees or stores your card number.

Depending on where you live, taxes such as VAT may apply. The total is shown before you pay.

If a renewal payment fails, your access is paused until the payment goes through. You can update your card from your account.

If we change our prices, we will tell you before the new price applies to your next renewal, so that you can cancel before then if you wish.

Cancellation

No commitment: cancel in one click, your access stays active until the end of the paid period.

To cancel, use the “Cancel subscription” button on your Account page. Until the end of the paid period, you can change your mind with “Resume subscription”.

On the Monthly plan, you can switch to Annual at any time from your Account page. Your monthly subscription then stops, and the credits you have left are added to your annual credits.

Credits

Your plan includes credits: 400 per month with Monthly, 4,800 per year with Annual. They are reset at each renewal, so plan credits you have not used do not carry over.

An idea search uses 4 credits. A prompt, including the one used by “Build this plugin”, uses 1 credit.

You can buy top-ups for extra credits. Top-up credits never expire; using them requires an active plan.

If a search or a prompt fails before the AI has started working, its credits go back to your balance. Once the AI has started, they are used.

Credits are personal and cannot be transferred to another account.

PluginLab Builder

PluginLab Builder runs on your computer and connects out to PluginLab: it opens no port on your computer. It only runs builds that you started from your own account.

Before it installs a plugin, turns on Adobe's developer mode for unsigned extensions, or opens your software, it asks for your approval on the build page.

Claude Code only works in the plugin's folder (Documents/PluginLab). As with any software, keep backups of your important files.

The Mac version is in beta: some steps may need your help. You can disconnect a computer at any time from your account.

The plugins you build

The plugins and prompts made for you are yours: you can use them, change them and sell them.

The same need can be suggested to other creators, so ideas are not exclusive. The angle you choose is there to make your plugin different.

AI-written code can contain mistakes. Test your plugin carefully before you sell it or share it.

If you sell your plugin, for example on aescripts + aeplugins, you sell it under your own name and under that marketplace's rules. You are responsible for your product: its quality, support for your buyers, the licenses of any code or assets you add, and your own taxes.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • share your account or resell access to PluginLab;
  • use bots or scripts, or try to get around credits, limits or security;
  • copy PluginLab's radar, scores or prompts to build a competing service;
  • build plugins that are illegal or harmful (such as malware), or that copy someone else's product, code or trademarks;
  • use PluginLab in a way that breaks the terms of Anthropic, Adobe or a marketplace.

If these rules are broken, we may suspend or close the account. Except in urgent or serious cases, we will write to you first.

Your account

Keep your login details private: you are responsible for what is done with your account.

You can download your data or delete your account at any time from your Account page.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep PluginLab available and useful, but we cannot promise that it will always work without interruption or errors. We may improve, change or remove features.

Anthropic and Adobe can change their products too, and this can change what PluginLab is able to build.

Liability

PluginLab is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost sales, lost profits or lost data, nor for problems caused by Claude, Adobe software, a marketplace or your computer.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid PluginLab during the 12 months before the problem.

Nothing in these terms takes away the rights that the law gives you and that cannot be waived, in particular as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For an important change, we will tell you by email or on the site at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where the seller is established (see the Legal notice). If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

If there is a problem, please write to us first at contact@pluginlab.app: we will look for a solution with you.
